While Freeport, Bahamas is starting to slowly develop, there has been a resort there catering to cruise passengers for a while. Bahamas Adventures in Freeport offers guests a day in paradise

The Carnival Sunshine recently began sailing 5,7 and 8 night sailings year-round from Port Canaveral. During my recent two night sailing we visited Freeport, Bahamas which I had never visited. Like many cruisers I have been to Nassau numerous times but, never Freeport. I really didn’t know what to expect. I had booked a Beach Getaway excursion and was looking forward to a relaxing day. Dr. Kris gives us his review of the ship, the dining, entertainment, ports and his impressions of the ship. Celebrity Century is in her last year of service, set to retire in April 2015.
